ARTIST STATEMENT:
I was born and raised in El Paso and now live in San Antonio, Texas. My work reflects the American landscape, highlighting the blend of Mexican, American, and Indigenous cultures. I carve and burn culturally rich, biographical, and historically significant images into the surfaces of my artwork. The themes of power dynamics, destiny, and the role of chance in our lives form the conceptual foundation of my work.
